The city of Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s ancient capital, has many ruins dating back more than 2,000 years.

Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1:

    Dep. from Nagpur by Train just after midnight. Whole day journey. Arrival at New Delhi Rly. Station in the evening. Transfer to Hotel. Night Halt. Inclusions:- Dinner.

  • DAY 2:

    Early morning check out from Delhi Hotel and transfer to Rly. Station. To board Shatabdi Express for Haridwar. Arrival at Haridwar. Transfer to Hotel. Local S/S in Haridwar in post Lunch Session. Return to Hotel in the evening. Night Halt. Inclusions:- Break-Fast and Lunch on board the Train and Dinner.

  • DAY 3:

    Check out from Hotel and to proceed to Govindghat (2450m) (Drive – 280km. 9-10 hrs). Enjoy the journey alongside Ganga and Alaknanda Rivers. The drive is quite interesting and enjoyable. Cross holy towns of Rishikesh, Dev Prayag and Rudra Prayag. Reach the destination and relax in the Hotel. Night Halt. Inclusions:- Break-Fast, Lunch and Dinner.

  • DAY 4:

    Govindghat (3050m) – Ghangria (Drive-1hr) (Trek – 4-5hrs) Today, wake up early morning for a trek to Ghangaria. Savour the trail through forest area and villages and the sights of waterfall and verdant landscapes. After covering 11km in 4-5 hours, reach Ghangaria. If you wish, you can also hire a mule or Doli (subject to availability) to reach Ghangaria. (You will have to bear the expenses for Pony Ride or Doli which may kindly be noted). Upon arrival, transfer to Lodge. Night Halt. Inclusions:- Break-Fast, Lunch and Dinner.

  • DAY 5:

     Ghangria (3050m) – Valley of Flowers (3600m) – Ghangria (Trek -4-5hrs)
    This balmy day, look forward to a short climb to the valley, moderate gradient and fetching landscapes. It will take you around 2 hours to reach the famous Valley of Flowers. Feast your eyes on vast meadows dotted with vibrant alpine flowers, many streams and lofty mountains.
    Right at the entrance stands the snowy Ratban Parvat Peak, on the left is Nar Parvat and on the right is the dense Birch Forest. Unravel the charms of the region over a good 3-4 hours. Head back to the camp at Ghangria. Night Halt. Important Note: – No Mule or Doli is available for this particular Trek as it is not allowed by the Forest Deptt. to conserve the environment and protect the valley of Flowers.
    Inclusions: – Break-Fast, Lunch and Dinner.  

  • DAY 6:

     Ghangaria (3050m) – Hemkund Sahib (4329m) – Ghangaria (3050m) (Trek 6-7hrs)
    Ascend to Hemkund Sahib, a revered Sikh Shrine built next to the mesmerizing lake (ringed by wild flowers with Brahmkamal being the most popular) over 3-4 hours. Expect steep climbs at some places. Once there, soak in the beauty of the place and enjoy the piping hot tea served at the Gurudwara (shrine). Visit Laxman Mandir next to the Gurudwara. By noon, retreat to Ghangria. Overnight will be spent in the campsite / Lodge. (You can take pony ride or Doli for this travel, but it is subject to availability which may kindly be noted. You will have to bear the expenses for the same.) Inclusions: – Break-Fast, Lunch and Dinner. 

  • DAY 7:

      Ghangria –Govindghat (Trek-3-4hrs) On this day, you will trek back to Govindghat. Planked on the banks of holy Alaknanda and with Neelkanth Peak as the backdrop, this place of worship makes for a riveting destination especially for those into spirituality. Here are sulphur water pools and fresh air. Later in the evening, you head to the lodge in Govindghat. Take a shower and dig into a delectable meal. Overnight will be spent in the Hotel. Inclusions:- Break-Fast, Lunch and Dinner.  

  • DAY 8:

      Govindghat- Haridwar (280 kms. 8-9hrs) After breakfast, drive down to Haridwar. And Over Night Stay at Haridwar Hotel. Inclusions:- Break-Fast, Lunch and Dinner.

  • DAY 9:

    Check out from Hotel early in the morning and transfer to Rly. Station. To board the Train for Delhi. Upon arrival, take your lunch at the Rly. Station and after a few hours of lay over, board another Train for Nagpur. Overnight Train Journey.
    Inclusions: – Break-Fast and Lunch.

  • DAY 10:

     Arrival at Nagpur Rly. Station in the morning. Tour Ends. Inclusions:- Nil


Nagpur-Delhi-Haridwar-Delhi-Nagpur Railway Travel By Third A.C. Coach Haridwar To Haridwar By Road By Non-A.C. Tempo Traveller (12 Seater)


Railway Fare for the aforesaid journey by Third A.C. Coach, Surface Transport by 2 x 1 Tempo Traveller, Tea (thrice a day), Veg. Break-fast, Veg. Lunch and Veg. Dinner, Hotel Accommodation on Twin Sharing basis, Forest Entry Ticket for Valley of Flowers.


Food on board the Train except Shatabdi Express, Expenses of personal nature such as Laundry, Bottled Drinking Water, Telephone Charges, Personal Purchases, Horse Riding, Amusement Games, Camera and Video Camera Fees and any other item which is not mentioned in the list of Inclusions above.

Important Note:-

As could be seen from the Tour Itinerary mentioned above, one has to undertake Trekking / Walking in this particular tour. Pony Ride / Doli Service will be available on payment of extra charges but this facility is not guaranteed and a lot depends upon the weather conditions. No Pony Ride / Doli is available for visit to Valley of Flowers as it is banned by the Forest Department. Hence, one has to be mentally prepared for Trekking. Swastik Tours Management will, however, provide all possible assistance to the Senior Citizens and other Guests.
